What is the policy on Delaying a Delivery?

Due to the large volumes we produce, the "default" rule that applies when changing delivery dates is:

If the order has entered the assembly stage (generally 5 working days before delivery) then we will not be able to delay delivery.

The Production Manager has some discretion when handling these requests if the time delay is only a short period (1 - 2 days from original scheduled date), but any longer is just not possible with the lean production schedule that we keep.

Delay requests are to be made through the journal communication system under the Delivery topic. If the request is made after assembly has been started, please follow up the journal with a phone call.

Cabinets Online reserve the right to charge a storage fee if this policy is not followed and a re-cleaning fee will apply if there is a delay of more than 24 hours.

If a delay is requested less than 1 business day prior to the delivery date, you may still be charged a standard delivery fee. This is at the discretion of the transport company.
