How do I create a journal?

When in a job:

  1. Go to Journals page.
  2. Click the menu button.
  3. Select Ask a question.

When the question dialog box comes up you have the option to fill out the following fields:

  1. Who to ask has the option to Make a note (doesn't notify anyone), Ask Cabinets Online support staff (notify us), Ask... HEAD OFFICE or staff member, someone from your company or store (notifies the individual) or Ask a contact (sends an email to a selected contact).
  2. Who to ask, - Select a topic - is only available when sending a journal to Cabinets Online support staff. It is for the purpose of notifying the best support staff member/s for the topic.
  3. Subject should only be a brief phrase that is relevant to the body of the journal.
  4. This section is for the "body" of the journal. You can use the options in the green box to format the text.

  1. Select the room this message for in the Apply to field.
  2. Click Save to finish creating journal message.

From here, your journal note may turn into a conversation (aka. a thread). For information on replying and continuing a thread, click here.
