Undermount

Updated on

Ideally the Dimensions of an Undermount Rangehood Cabinet should be 76mm deeper and 100mm wider than the specified cut out size. For example if the Rangehood cut out was 260mm deep x 500mm wide the cabinet should be at least 336mm deep and 600mm wide. This will leave 30mm from the Rangehood Cut out to the gables, back and to the front of the carcass allowing for the bottom to be screwed with 45mm screws and keep its structural integrity.

If this Cabinet is to be Finger Pull then you should allow another 20mm in overall depth to the cabinet.

To choose what parts you require in your Undermount Rangehood Click on the Kits Menu Bar and select Included Kits (See Below for explanations).  In most cases a Fixed Shelf, a Rangehood Duct-Fixed, a Cover Panel and an Undermount Cut out are ordered.

Remember to delete the Adjustable shelves or if they are required they will need to be ordered as Adjustable shelf - Variable width as they will be sitting between the fixed duct and the gables. (see extra cabinet parts for more info on ordering shelves)
